Time for more checkride practice! The plane has been put back together, test flown and signed off as airworthy once again. I was able to get back up for some checkride practice of maneuvers and landings on Saturday afternoon. The weather was perfect, with a slight crosswind, which also made for good practice. I took off and departed to the practice area west of KCTJ. After performing clearing turns I practiced maneuvering slow flight, power off/on stalls, spiral decent, turns about a point and s-sturns. I meant to practice steep turns as well, but was itching to get back into the pattern and practice some landings. They’ll be on the list for my next practice flight. I’m feeling good about my maneuvers and my landings were not too bad either. With a small 4-5 knot crosswind, I was able to get one nice landing in – left main, right main, nose gear – with only the left main making any noise.
